This 2,285 acre island provides a habitat for thousands of wintering waterfowl, including the tundra swan. The refuge offers wonderful wildlife viewing and expansive views of the Chester River and Chesapeake Bay along 7 different trails.
Ferry Park is our local beach, located on Beach Rd. Here you can enjoy the sandy beach in an ideal location for calm splashing and swimming. There are two gazebos, a charcoal grill, outdoor shower and benches. This is also one of the best places to watch the sunset over the Chesapeake Bay at the end of your day!
